Reach our audience through an Instagram Reel, allowing you to have control over the look, feel, and messaging for your brand.
Reel Best Practices
Clients are to deliver fully produced Reels with no edits needed. This means audio is already included, as well as any text overlay/captions.
6AM City will have final approval for any Reel posted to our accounts.
Here are some recommended best practices and guidelines when creating your Reel:
Creative Best Practices
- 15-30 seconds
- Minimal text and graphic overlay (logo on screen for 1 second max)
- Dynamic video content (a variety of shots from different angles)
- Explore trending audio for your brand video directly in-app
- You will need a professional Instagram account to view reel trends.
- Click the three-dot icon on your profile and select “Reels Trends—Select reels from Audio or Hashtags.”
- You can also type “trending songs” or “trending audio” directly into Instagram’s search function
6AM Brand Guidelines + Resources for your team:
- Please use on-brand language for our Instagram (avoiding first-person language, i.e. “Shop our sale” — instead, opt for “Shop Boutique Name’s summer sale”)
- List of approved 6AM-approved in-app Instagram fonts
- Opt for a legible, app-friendly sans-serif typeface.

- Refrain from using exclamation points
- When listing items, choose “+” over “&”
- Numbers 1-9 should be spelled out (e.g. one, nine), while numbers 10+ should be written using figures (e.g. 10, 22, 100).
