Those of you patiently awaiting the break from hearts + chocolates to scream at the television — your time has come.

Today, we present a few local spots to watch the big game, or — more importantly, in our opinion — grab the food. But first, a quick rundown of Super Bowl LVI for those of you who, like us, don’t wanna fumble with your words when referencing the upcoming game.

I/O Arcade Bar is holding a happy hour with pizza and $4 tequila shots, as well as chances to win drinks with game predictions. If you’re looking for drink specials, State Street Brats has $40 bottomless taps, rails, and a limited food menu.

🏈 At home fun

If you’d rather yell at the TV from the comfort of your own home, there are still plenty of ways to make your Super Bowl Sunday special. Pre-order Sal’s super sub — a 5 pound sandwich with three types of meat on Madison Sourdough bread — or grab a meatball sub day of the game.

Grab wings + curds from the Great Dane to lock down your super spread — or pick up 100+ wings from Wings Over Madison. For some atypical football food, Red has a Touchdown Platter with three rolls, chicken wings, and coconut shrimp. And for our vegan friends, Green Owl Cafe is preparing a take and bake vegan wings sampler — complete with sauces.
