College football season is kicking off in Madison this weekend as the Badgers gear up to face the Buffalo Bulls tomorrow, Sept. 2 at 2:30 p.m.

Safety first

New safety precautions at Camp Randall include metal detectors, additional student section aisles, and a streamlined approach to the fan text line (608-292-4499).

Skip the Uber upcharges, and opt for a shuttle instead.

Badger Shuttle | Lots 60, 64, and 76 | $8
Lone Girl Brewing | 114 E. Main St., Waunakee | $10
Pooley's | 5441 High Crossing Blvd., Madison | $10

Game day antics

Badger Bash | 12-2:30 p.m. | Union South, 1308 W Dayton St. | Free

Regent Street | Bars including Jordan's, Sconnie, and Red Zone will be hosting tailgates. Think: An all-day block party, avoid the area if you're not there for game day.

Pro tip: Bring cash. Many parking lot and Breese Terrace tailgates will be more willing to let you join the party if you slip 'em some beer money.
