The NOBULL CrossFit Games are returning to Madison next week from Tuesday, August 1 through Sunday, August 6. Here's how you can get in on the action.

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit falls under the HIIT — high-intensity interval training — umbrella. Workouts are centered around movements that you'd perform on a daily basis; Think: Squatting, pulling, pushing. Similar to Orangetheory, there is a "workout of the day" (WOD) that Crossfitters adhere to during their sessions.

This new-wave workout style came to life in 2000, and has since taken the world by storm. Think of the NOBULL CrossFit Games as the Olympics of CrossFit — the best of the best around the world are coming together to compete for the title of being the "Fittest on Earth".
