If you’re a long-time Texan, you’d know that it’s “go big or go home” in the Lone Star State. So, it’s no surprise that our flashy philosophy is reflected in our food, festivals, and culture. But, the BTE (Big Texan Energy) doesn’t stop there…

Today, we’re sharing the latest news for the Biggest Outdoor Art Gallery in Texas + larger than life sculptures. You’ll want to put your camera on 0.5x wide-angle for this one.

The Biggest Outdoor Art Gallery in Texas, 2018-current

The San Antonio Street Art Initiative (SASAI) is celebrating three years and 60+ murals completed with St. Mary’s Strip block party during Fiesta.

Here’s what you need to know:

Can’t get enough of big art? Here are four monumental sculptures you can visit today.

Deer, 2015 | Tony Tasset at McNay Art Museum

Head over to the museum grounds and snap a pic with the 12-foot-tall sculpture.

Victoria, 1991-2000, cast 2007 | Philip Grausman at McNary Art Museum

Another McNay acquisition — this one is a real head-turner.

World's Largest Cowboy Boots, 1979 | Bob "Daddy-O" Wade at North Star Mall

We think the title says it all. Pro tip: don’t be shy to hop on the left boot using the conveniently-placed rock underneath it.

This local artist created 12-feet tall sculptures depicting wildflowers made from unique metals.
