We love listening to our readers share their thoughts on our use of Español in our newsletter.

But today, we want to talk about another kind of language — your love language.

Here’s a breakdown to help you determine what your love language is along with our recommendations for activities + places around San Antonio you might enjoy.

Physical Touch

If there’s nothing you like more than a good hug from a loved one or cuddling on the couch with a glass of wine, we recommend taking a class at Throwin’ Gold Ceramics and living out your Ghost fantasy.

Acts of Service

If the way you express your love is by doing helpful things for others (Think: helping with the dishes, opening doors, or running errands), we suggest a volunteer date to satisfy that giving heart. You can check out the city’s website for all kinds of opportunities to lend a helping hand.

Receiving Gifts

If you think of gifts as symbolic of love and affection, you’re in luck. There’s no shortage when it comes to shopping for gifts in San Antonio. From ethically sourced goods to local artisan crafts, shops like Feliz Modern and Ten Thousand Villages have everything you need and more.

Quality Time

If you like to express your affection through spending undivided attention, we recommend heading towards the Museum Reach for a stroll through one of the more intimate parts of the River Walk or immerse yourself in nature at the Japanese Tea Garden.

Words of Affirmation

If you are someone that loves verbal or written compliments expressing love and appreciation, treat yourself or your partner to an affirming yoga class around the city with Mobile Om or check out a good book from SAPL on creative writing.
