Did you know February 20 is National Clean Out Your Bookcase Day? Yeah, we didn't either — but we're so glad we do now because it allows us to highlight local organizations that accept book donations. Keep reading to share your treasured reads with other bibliophiles.

Fort Worth Public Library | You can bring used books to any FWPL branch and the collection management librarians evaluate them for circulation or donation to other organizations.

Kinfolk House | The Hallie B. Carpenter Community Library is looking for books about history, community, and nature + created by or covering Texas-based, female, or artists of color. Mail your donations to 1913 Wallace St.

Little Hands Book Bank | Arrange a drop-off through the contact form to donate gently used childrens books to young readers across North Texas.

The Welman Project | Schedule a time to donate books + help teachers stock their classrooms with reading materials.

Better World Books | Donate used books and textbooks to the online bookstore to make literary resources available at a discount across the world. Donate materials at the Montogomery Plaza drop box.

Cleared your shelves and now you need to restock? Check out these books by authors with ties to Fort Worth.
