There’s a hauntingly high chance either you or one of your friends will be Spider-Man this year for Halloween in Austin.

The comic book character is the most popular costume in the city — according to Google’s annual Frightgeist interactive map — which shows the most popular Halloween costumes in the area based on Google search trends.

If you’re frightened at the thought of having the same costume as many other Austinites, we’ve rounded up some local costume stores where you can find outfits just as weird + unique as Austin.
