This week is National Small Business Week, so show your favorite locally-owned places some extra love. Every year, the Small Business Administration dedicates a full week to celebrating small businesses and the positive impact they have on our economy.

According to census data, Davidson County is home to 20,200+ small businesses (49 employees or fewer). Of those employers, nearly half employ five or fewer people. Talk about small but mighty.

We asked you to brag on Nashville’s finest small businesses, and y’all delivered with 20+ submissions. Here’s what you had to say about your favorite shops, restaurants, and services.

Nashville Artist Collective + Woven Goods Co., 438 Melrose Ave.
🛍️ Art gallery and home goods
“They are female-owned local businesses selling contemporary art and vintage Turkish rugs. They’ve come together to open up a new showroom in Berry Hill, and it is beautiful!” — Carrie A.

The Bubblery, 28 Arcade Alley |
🛍️ Handmade bath and body products
“My favorite small business in Nashville is The Bubblery. This woman-owned small-business in the Arcade downtown has been making hand-made and custom bath bombs, soaps, and lotions for several years now. I don't think this gets the recognition it deserves, being a bit off the beaten-path! The creativity of their creations are mind-blowing from scent combinations to gorgeous layered soaps that look like cake!” — Paula M.

Flora + Fauna Cafe and Roaster, 747 Douglas Ave.
☕ Coffee shop + eatery
“Their focus on sustainability and local products is wonderful. They pay fair living wages, a safe space for all, beautifully-designed space. Great food, drinks, and recently noted in the Nashville Scene for their Cuban latte.” — Kristin S.

A Village of Flowers, 1712 21st Ave. S.
💐 Flowers, plants, and gifts
“It's a small, female-run flower shop that survived the pandemic. Even in the chaos of the last two years, employees were consistently welcoming, flexible, and always had the best, most whimsical flowers! 100% worthy of recognition, in my opinion.” — Caitlin W.

Mofongo Café, 654 West Iris Dr.
🥘 Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Cuban cuisine
“Great people and unique, delicious food!” — Denise S.
