Something new is brewing in one of North Broadway’s most recognizable buildings.

The Waiting Room is now open inside the former home of Partial Cafe, which shuttered at the end of August. If you frequent Remedy Coffee and Zero/Zero Wine Bar, chances are you’ll enjoy this spot, too — all three are owned by Zach and Alexis Hill.

So, what makes The Waiting Room unique in Knoxville’s coffee shop scene? They’re serious about serving high-quality coffee, but without any of the typical syrups, drizzles, and cold foams. You won’t even find a vanilla latte on the menu. Gasp.

Here’s what you can expect: Breakfast pastries, matcha, and coffee by morning, and select bottles of wine and espresso martinis in the evenings when the alcohol program debuts in October. A limited small plate menu will also be available.

The Waiting Room is currently in its soft opening phase. Follow along on Instagram for the latest updates + operating hours.
