In case you missed it, it’s March, which means football’s out, basketball’s in, and baseball’s something you remember hearing about, but don’t really care about until April.

During the NCAA Selection Show last night, 36 basketball teams were chosen to compete in the Division 1 Men’s Basketball tournament deemed “March Madness.”

For the TB;DW (Too Boring, Didn’t Watch):

36 teams were chosen to compete as “at-large” bids
32 teams made it automatically by winning their conference tournament championship
That’s 68 total teams for those of you keeping count
For the South Carolina natives - the Gamecocks are out; Clemson’s in and Charleston made it through by winning the Colonial Conference
For the North Carolina natives: The usual’s are back, including Duke, UNC, NC State, Davidson, UNCG, and North Carolina Central
