The fun just keeps on coming. The updated Haynie-Sirrine neighborhood master plan was unanimously approved by Greenville City Council on Monday, Sept. 23.

According to our friends at The Greenville Journal, city staff plans to rezone the neighborhood under the Greenville Development Code sometime next year.

What's the plan?

A roadway connection between Dunbar + Church Streets
An update to the intersection at Haynie + Howie Streets to help with traffic flow
Mixed-use development (potentially adding affordable housing) along Church + Augusta Streets
Protection and preservation efforts for existing housing
Ideas for acquiring land that can be transformed into green space or affordable housing
Improvements to transportation and infrastructure like a multi-use path that would connect both sides of Church Street
