DYK? The Junior League of Greenville (JLG) was founded by 20 women with a vision to make Greenville a better community through voluntarism + connections to fellow professional women. Since its start in 1929, JLG has expanded to 1,200 members; contributed over $2.8 million and countless volunteer service hours to the community; supported 300+ agencies; and helped start many local organizations.

JLG has been committed to positive change in our area by supporting programs that assist individuals, children + families, and older adults in difficult situations with varying needs. (Check out the full position statement from JLG here.) Most recently, JLG has announced two new focus areas + partnered with Jasmine Road, Pendleton Place, Serenity Place: The Family Effect and SWITCH to combat human trafficking and advance economic mobility for women.

They’re currently on the hunt for fellow change-making women in the community to join their organization. If you’re interested in getting involved (or just getting to know JLG better), register to stop by either of their two open houses on Thurs., May 23 or Tues., June 11. Ⓟ
