Cola, defined by you.

We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that just about everyone wants to live in a “better” city. But what defines “better?”

Here at COLAtoday, we get a bird’s-eye-view of what people like, dislike and want to see more of in Columbia. But we want to learn more. Which is why we need your help filling in the gaps in the following statements:

🗣️ I want to live in a Columbia that/where/which/with ______. ⬅️ your desired outcome

🗣️ I love Columbia because _____. ⬅️ your reason

Comment on our social media posts on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter; or email us to tell us what kind of Cola you want to live in or why you love it here.

We've already received some cool feedback from our social followers (huge shoutout to everyone who’s already participated), and we’re stoked to hear what everyone else has to say.

🗣️ “I want to live in a Columbia that says "yes" more than "no" to new opportunities.” -Merritt McHaffie McNeely

🗣️ “ I love Columbia because the people here are all do-ers and are passionate about their communities.” -Ashley Pullen

🗣️ “I want to live in a Columbia with better public transportation!” -Kristie Haustovich

🗣️ “I love Columbia because there's always something to do, and the city is growing in a diverse, progressive, manner.” -Amanda Pollak

🗣️ “I want to live in a Columbia where some bakeries are open on Sundays” -@amc_acm

We can’t wait for more of your responses to roll in about what type of Cola y’all want to live in – and what you already love about this place. (Tell us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or via email.) The answers we’ve already gotten are giving us all the feels (and making us think, and some, making us laugh).

What I love about this platform, and our readers + social followers, is how easy it is to talk to y’all – and how much you give back to the conversation. It really feels like we can start an important discussion here about our city that could make an impact.

Thanks for making stuff like this possible – y’all really are the tops.
