Is your daily morning coffee routine + Amazon Prime addiction getting in the way of having enough money set aside for that vacation you’ve been trying to plan for the last year? Definitely not speaking out of experience here.

Below are a few tips for sticking to your budget from AllSouth, a Cola-based not-for-profit credit union, which just happens to be made up of 70% women. 🧠 They were founded on Fort Jackson in 1960 (originally as Fort Jackson Federal Credit Union) and now they serve 8 counties across the Midlands. Their goal: to provide a secure place to help Soda Citizens meet their financial goals.

See you soon, St. Lucia vacation. 🌴

💰Pay cash. Credit cards make it too easy for you to spend more than you have.

💰Make a list. It’ll help you limit your spending to needs only (vs. wants).

💰Shop alone. Friends let friends buy that shirt they didn’t really need.

💰Track your spending. Even the small things can add up to big amounts (i.e that daily morning latte).

💰Set up automatic savings. If your money auto drafts into a savings account, you won’t spend what you don’t have.
