Americans were expected to spend $20.7 billion on Valentine's Day in 2019 (up 6% from 2018). The average person is estimated to spend ~$162 on the holiday. No pressure, Cupid. 💘

Valentine’s Day *doesn’t* have to be a high-pressure holiday (something homemade and thoughtful can work just fine) – but if you’re still looking for a gift to really wow your significant other, here are a few ideas from Kiawah Island Golf Resort (they know a thing or two about luxury + romance):

A treatment (or two) at The Spa at The Sanctuary, a Forbes Five-Star Spa. See all treatments here, from facials to the Couple’s Suite.
...or spa robe + a basket of bath goods from The Sanctuary Hotel Collection for a DIY, at-home spa day.

Golf lessons with Kiawah Women’s Golf Getaways, a “boot camp-style” weekend filled with interactive golf clinics with pro golfers (for those from beginner to intermediate skill levels), plus meals, cocktail receptions + more…
…or a golf getaway package during Mother’s Day or Christmas.
Weekend stay at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, a Five-Star, Five-Diamond hotel with access to resort-style pools…
...or a family beach weekend at a Resort Villa or a private home (we’re dreaming about a weekend spent at this one).

Couples private tennis lessons with a pro tennis instructor (for those with New Year’s resolutions of trying new things together or getting more active)...
...or a dolphin encounter via an eco-tour boat.
Drinks at The Ryder Cup Bar followed by a dinner reservation at The Ocean Room Forbes Four-Star restaurant – or the more relaxed Tomasso at Turtle Point Italian restaurant (that handmade pasta 😍).

SUP couples lessons, starting in late spring (learn how to stand-up paddleboard with your better half)...
...or a twilight paddle session, offered throughout the year, ft. an evening paddle through the Kiawah River, incredible sunset viewing, then a paddle through the marsh at twilight.
Here’s a wild one: Renew your vows. Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a top destination for weddings, but you can also host a vow renewal ceremony or engagement party at one of its five venues. Request info here.
