First beer’s on us. 🍻

Good job, dedicated Charleston citizen. If you’re getting this, it means you’re already one of the most informed + connected Charlestonians (or at least you’re about to be).

We are CHStoday – your new go-to for navigating all things Charleston. Whether you’re walking the dog, still in bed, sitting in the carpool line, or sipping your morning coffee, your life as a smart, engaged CHS citizen just got *that much* easier.

Here’s what you can expect:
We’ll share what you need to know in Charleston each day – from ranking the best dishes at a new restaurant to breaking down affordable housing – so you can wake up, read one (free) email, learn something new and move forward with your day. (We call that a win).

Who are we?
For locals, by locals. Meet engagement editor Nicole (from down south, living Downtown, + always found with hot sauce in her bag), and multimedia producers Jen (cat GIF connoisseur living on the East Side), and Kalene (lover of words with a penchant for '90s movies + thrifting).

We’re joined by sister publications: GVLtoday, COLAtoday, + AVLtoday in that other Carolina.

Piper, the friendly office pup, is definitely going to the party

Wait… I thought you said beer?? 🍺 Yup. We’re having a launch party tonight + you’re invited! 🎉

📍 Show up tonight to Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co., 1505 King Street, from 5:30-8 p.m. + we’ll cover your first beer.

You’ll also get to meet our team, let us know what you’d like us to cover, + celebrate the fact that we’ll now be waking up together every day of the work week (via your inbox that is) .

Plus: We'll have live music by Emily Curtis, vibrational therapy from Vitality ChiroSpa, + we're giving away $100 in gift cards (tag us in an IG story or post a photo from the party to enter).

Like any good relationship, we want to talk and listen. Tell us what you want to hear from CHStoday. Please, email us ideas, thoughts, pitches, hot tips + feedback to hello@theCHStoday.com. This is why we’re here.

If you liked what you read today, forward this email to a couple of friends. Make it Facebook official, keep tabs on Instagram, RT us if you think we’re cool(ish), + use #CHStoday as you experience Charleston. Who knows, your best photo could be featured in our social media or daily newsletter.

Thanks for starting today off with us, Charleston. Go get 'em. 👍
