MLK Day events

Stroll through social justice

Head to the Washington Gladden Social Justice Park downtown to be inspired by quotes from social justice leaders, including Dr. King. Plus, the 6,000-pound sculpture in the park — "Our Single Garment of Destiny" — is based on his "Letter from Birmingham Jail."

Give back

As a national day of service, it's recommended to treat this holiday as a “day on, not a day off.” Browse our volunteer guide to find a way to give back locally, whether that's helping minority groups, children, or veterans.
