Good news for our oldest readers.

Forsyth County-based nonprofit Senior Services is launching Main Street Connections, a community-focused social experience through Williams Adult Day Center that brings older adults together around weekly activities + programming.

Designed to foster independence and exploration, these immersive sessions offer a balanced blend of learning, movement, creativity, and social interaction.

⬇️ Here’s how it works

Participants attend four-hour sessions, three days a week at the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness. There, trained Senior Services staff + volunteers facilitate:

Hands-on activities including cooking, gardening, music + art
Gentle physical activities and group games (think: stretching, dance, chair or standing exercises)
Shared meals to strengthen social connections
Meaningful intergenerational interactions

The main goal? Social engagement. Participants build friendships, share stories, and experience companionship in a safe, supportive setting.
