Your skin does a lot more than make you look good.

In fact, it’s your body’s largest organ, making up about 16% of your total body weight. That’s why having access to trusted dermatologic care matters.

For Wilmingtonians, Waccamaw Dermatology brings medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology together under one roof — making it easier than ever to find care for everything from everyday skin concerns to specialized treatment.

Here’s everything you need to know about the award-winning practice.

A comprehensive approach

From general dermatology to cosmetic treatments and specialized care, Waccamaw Dermatology serves patients of all ages and a wide range of skin concerns, including:

Annual skin checks and skin cancer screenings
Acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea + other skin conditions
Mohs surgery and superficial radiation therapy
Cosmetic injectables
Skin rejuvenation treatments and medical-grade skincare

Instead of navigating different providers for different needs, patients can access expert services in one state-of-the-art facility.

Care that’s personalized

No two patients are exactly alike, which is why Waccamaw Dermatology takes an individualized approach tailored to your unique needs.

The Wilmington office's Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner, Jill Maddox, has practiced dermatology since 2009 and is skilled in diagnosing and treating patients of all ages, from infancy through older adulthood.

The team is growing, too, with the recent addition of master esthetician and laser technician Lisa Price, who brings over 10 years of expertise in dermaplaning, chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling, and more.

Decades of experience

While the Wilmington office is part of Waccamaw Dermatology's growing presence in North Carolina, the practice has provided dermatologic care across the Carolinas since 1984.

Today, it has 14 locations and sees more than 150,000 patient encounters annually.

The best part? They're welcoming new patients.

If finding a new dermatologist has been on your to-do list, consider this your sign.
