Ral, we have liftoff.

Buckle up for an exploration of cosmic proportions, because the NC Museum of Natural Sciences’ "Journey to Space" special exhibition is officially open. Here's what we're excited to see:

Astro activities galore

If you've ever dreamt of climbing aboard a full-scale, rotating model of the real Destiny Lab on the International Space Station — this is your chance.

Or, try your hand operating the robotic arm and test your motor skills with a bulky space glove.

Plus, see authentic artifacts from past missions, including Neil Armstrong’s helmet and gloves from the iconic Apollo mission.

Journey through the final frontier

Think you have what it takes to live in space? Explore the perils astronauts face and marvel at the real technology designed to keep them safe + comfortable(ish). Plus, hear tales from the stars with insights from current and former astronauts on the future of deep space exploration.

Free for museum members

This out-of-this-world showcase is free for museum members, but tix are also available.
