We asked our readers to help us celebrate local educators + we’re back to shout out some stand-out teachers in Wake County. 🍎

Andrea Comstock, Endeavor Charter School: “She pours her heart and soul into the kids. She makes sure they are nurtured and that they learn and grow to their highest potential. All the kids love her.” – Catherine A.
Brad Lewis, Enloe Magnet High School: “He goes far beyond expectation to support the students in their learning and in their lives. His most important lesson to students is how to aspire to be a good human.” – Maura T.
Jennifer Reed, Conn Elementary: “She’s a second grade teacher and able to teach a room full of energetic boys. She’s also a HUGE Caniac.” – Malisa P.
Marcella Mastrocola, White Oak Elementary: “She is so dedicated to her students and getting to know each of them on a personal level first so that she can be a better teacher for them. She advocates for, uplifts, challenges, and celebrates every single student that passes through her classroom and we need more teachers like her.” –Abby D.
Maria Pilar De La Sala, Conn Elementary: “She is passionate about her students becoming mathematicians and treats the class as family.” – Malisa P.
Hollyn Thompson, Jones Dairy Elementary: “She's been teaching at JDES for nearly 16 years and absolutely loves what she does. As the school's art specialist, she offers the kids such a variety of art, like pottery, water colors, acrylics, sculpture, you name it. She has such a passion for the kids and the arts. She's so loved and you can tell that by when we walk around town + the number of kids who recognize her and say ‘hi.’” – Jim T.
Jennifer Humeniuk, Conn Elementary: “She is dedicated to teaching her students and makes the best Letterland Action Tricks.” – Malisa P.
