College football is right around the corner. UNC Charlotte is preparing to kick off the 2026-27 season with new bites at Jerry Richardson Stadium — giving fans even more reason to come hungry on game day.

The stadium's lineup of eats includes new items like Gouda Mac and Cheese Bites, calzones, beef barbacoa tacos, and Gleezy dogs (created by UNC Charlotte alums). Niner Nation can also indulge in the Budget Blitz, which boasts fan favorites like pretzel bites, popcorn, and hot dogs for $2.99 each.

The new menu comes as the 49ers prepare for the home opener vs. The Citadel on Saturday, Sept. 5 — tickets start at $9 for children and $20 for adults.

But wait, there's more. The university is also nearing the halfway mark of renovating Jerry Richardson Stadium. The $70 million expansion is expected to finish by 2027 and push capacity from ~15,000 to over 18,000, adding seats, suites, club spaces, a terrace, and grab-and-go markets.
