It's National Indoor Plants Week, which means we're taking an extra inhale in appreciation for our wonderful houseplants.

There's a lot of momentum behind indoor greenery (how did we guess your aesthetic?). In 2020, 66% of people in the US owned a plant, and sales increased during the pandemic.

New businesses have even planted roots, including here locally. Here are a few of our favorite shops in KCMO:

🪴 VERDANT, 128 W. 18th St. | Plants, flowers, ceramics, and gifts (now with fall specials).
🪴 Paradise Garden Club, 1621 Locust St. | Try a potting class + grow your green thumb.
🪴 rOOTS, 818 W. 17th St. | This Westside shop's motto is "cool plants for cool people."
🪴 KC Blooms, 11117 N. Oak Tfwy. | New plants monthly with a subscription, plus pottery, candles, and soaps.
