Jeff’s Donuts is coming to Paristown. And we’re jelly-filled with excitement.

It’s the first local vendor that’s been announced for a new food hall, The Village Market at 712 Brent St., which is expected to open later this summer.

In addition to the growing local donut shop — it shared two more new Louisville locations earlier this week — the 5,376-sqft food hall will house four more local food vendors, indoor and outdoor dining spaces + a bar. The design of the development will flow onto the lawn of Christy’s Garden where concerts and the Paristown Flea take place.

The Village Market will be open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s being developed in the building that used to house The Café — which is now across the street in the same redeveloped industrial space as Stoneware & Co. + Hopewell coworking lab.

Four of the five restaurant spaces are already filled, though details on which local restaurants are opening won’t be released until later this month. According to The Village Market’s website, it’ll focus on burgers, tacos, pho + chicken sandwiches.

The Paristown Pointe neighborhood, which was established in the late 1800s, has been an active cultural site since redevelopment efforts began in the area in 2015. It now boasts a music venue — Old Forester’s Paristown Hall — as well as Sunday Farmers Markets + serves as the live filming location for the “Secrets of Bluegrass Chefs.”

Also on the horizon for this bustling area is the redevelopment of the Urban Government Center by the Paristown Preservation Trust, a $183 million effort.
