We've all seen our favorite pro sports mascots amping up the crowd, performing jaw-dropping stunts, breaking out legendary dance moves, and strutting their stuff on the field or court. But when the stadium lights go down, what else are they up to?

Here are a few of the ways we think our beloved mascots spend their days off around Indy.

Blue | Team: The Colts

Fun fact: For his first public appearance in 2006, Blue went skydiving in Greensburg. The high-energy horse will likely chase his next adrenaline high at SKYLAKE Adventures, Sheridan's new aquatic amusement park, when it opens on Thursday, June 4.

Boomer | Team: The Pacers

We bet the iconic dancing panther loves hanging out with his fellow felines at local cat cafes. His high-flying dunks take practice, too — which means he’s probably hitting the trampolines at Sky Zone.

Freddy | Team: The Fever

While the question of what Freddy actually is remains one of humankind’s greatest mysteries, what we do know is that he’s a pretty fun little dude. Maybe he could solve the enigma that is his ancestry with a trip to see other, um… exotic creatures at the Indianapolis Zoo.

Rowdie | Team: The Indians

Rowdie’s claim to fame is that he “put the bear in ‘bear hug.’” It’s probably not a huge seventh-inning stretch to imagine him spreading the love he’s known for by volunteering for a local org.

Nitro | Team: Indy Fuel

As a dragon, we’re sure Nitro must be interested in all things mythical and magical. You could probably find him at fantasy bookclub Indy Spellshop Society or running the tables at Elf ’N Moon’s weekly Magic: The Gathering nights.

Zeke | Team: Indy Eleven

English mastiff Zeke is known for being noble, calm, and affectionate. We’re sure he’s lazing in the sun at Baby’s dog park with his best friends or finding his zen in a yoga class before joining the chaos of the big game.

Pepper | Team: Indy Ignite

Ignite’s fiery “queen of the court” keeps her fans up to date on her game day shenanigans on her Instagram page. We think the part the public doesn’t see is her passion for spicy foods — she’s definitely ordering some HOT-HOT chicken at World Famous HotBoys, and following that up with a spicy marg at Bakersfield.

Bandit | Team: Fishers Freight

This lovable raccoon’s ancestors may have been train robbers, but we’re pretty sure he’s not interested in a life of crime. Instead, we imagine Bandit is busy sorting through the trash in search of treasures at the Goodwill bins, or using his thumbs to play pinball at a local arcade like The PinVault.
