Good job, dedicated San Diego citizen. If you’re getting this, it means you’re already one of the most informed + connected residents in America’s Finest City (or at least you’re about to be).

We are SDtoday — your new go-to for navigating all things San Diego. Whether you’re walking the dog, still in bed, on the way to work, or sipping your morning coffee, your life as a smart, engaged San Diegan just got a little bit easier.

Here’s what you can expect. ➡️

We’ll share what you need to know in San Diego + in the metro area each day — from local chocolatiers making Valentine’s Day sweeter to “reef balls” encouraging biodiversity in the San Diego Bay — so you can wake up, read one (free) email, learn something new and move forward with your day. We call that a win.

Because you’re an early subscriber ➡️

We’re giving you a sneak peek into what we’re working on. Here’s what you’ll find in our upcoming newsletters:

February PlanAhead calendar. Surprise! We’ve already published it here. Each month you can utilize our curated event calendar to find the best ways to fill all of your days around town — from shows to seminars. 🗓️
Ready for Beijing 2022? We’re rooting for the local athletes who will be going for the gold — like Shaun White. 🥇
Like eating outside? We’ll be diving into local news surrounding outdoor dining + looking to see if it will stick around in the future. 🍽️
We will be giving you the details about Sesame Place — Chula Vista’s new theme park replacing Aquatica San Diego in March. 🎡
And of course, we can’t do our job thoroughly without looking into our history. We’ll be exploring our historic districts + home to buy if you’re looking for a change of scenery.
Additionally, we’ll be getting to know the San Diego Wave FC — San Diego’s new National Women's Soccer League that will bring some star athletes to our city. ⚽

Who are we? ➡️

SDtoday is the 19th city that 6AM City (our parent company) is helping make smarter + more informed. We’re part of the West Coast team, joining Seattle (SEAtoday), Portland (PDXtoday), Sacramento (SACtoday), San Jose (SJCtoday) + more. We’re written for locals by locals — who you will get to know in the coming weeks.

If you’re as excited as we are about this adventure, forward this email to your friends + family and encourage them to subscribe for diverse, hyperlocal San Diego content.
