Did you know reading to a child can not only help with cognitive development but can also strengthen the bond between a parent and a child? Read: Storytime should be an essential part of your child's routine, and the Northwest African American Museum is here to help.

Born during the pandemic, NAAM's Interactive Storytime, powered by PNC Bank, highlights Black authors, books, and characters.

There's no need to travel to the museum for story time — instead, community leaders read to the children virtually. On the second Sunday of each month at 1 p.m., families can tune in and read along to the newest, culturally-relevant story read aloud. Want to see what book is being read next? Head over to NAAM's Interactive Storytime for more information about upcoming reads.

Better yet? There are already dozens of stories waiting to be listened to, including:

I Promise
Skin Like Mine
and so many more.
