Alright, 12s — it's time to put your game faces back on. The Seattle Seahawks' season opener is just ahead on Sunday, Sept. 8 against the Denver Broncos (no worries — ex-Seahawks quarterback Russ Wilson is no longer on their team).

Let's touch on everything that's new on the field this year so you can get your game plan ready.

What everyone's talking about

Biggest deal here is the team's new head coach, Mike Macdonald. We've seen a little bit of his coaching style during preseason, but all eyes will be on him as we wait to see what kind of success he might help lead the Hawks to.

Otherwise, fans will be curious how new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb handles a team that saw some rough days during the 2023-24 season. And, will this be Tyler Lockett's last run as a Seahawk?

The best way to watch from home

Folks looking to catch the games from their couch can tune in through CBS, NFL+, Paramount+, and YouTube.

The games worth getting tickets to

There's the first home game this weekend, of course. But other than that, our West Coast feud against the San Francisco 49ers will continue on Thursday, Oct. 10 here at Lumen Field.

What you'll wanna eat

We all know the snacks + drinks are half the fun. Check out new stadium menu additions like Bam Bam Smash Burger, featuringgrub from Super Bowl champ Kam Chancellor's Bellevue bar Legion; blue salt-rimmed margaritas; Bar Dojo's comforting birria ramen (perfect for a rainy game day); and a foot-long hot dog topped with pickled shimeji mushrooms.
