Dad. Pops. Papa. Whatever nickname you use, it all means love. ❤️

With Father’s Day approaching on Sun., June 19, we’re sharing our guide to Seattle restaurants, experiences, and gifts to celebrate the father figures in your life — whether they raised you or adopted you as their own.

Try something new 💡

The Center for Wooden Boats — This museum will totally float your boat (hello, dad joke) with a variety of experiences to book in advance, like boat + kayak rentals or private sailing lessons.
3D Printing Classes — This experience guides attendees through the process of creating a 3D program model + making it come to life through the magic of technology. Those who are Seattle Makers members get a free class, plus access to the woodshop and laser cutting.
Westland Distillery Tour — Book some flights of fancy at this acclaimed SODO whiskey-maker, which offers 90-minute tours — you can even buy a solid dad hat.

Share a meal 🍽️

Meet Korean BBQ — You can still get a reservation at this sizzling Korean barbecue joint on Capitol Hill, with well-marbled wagyu + mouth-watering dipping sauces.
Shiro’s Sushi — Dad more of a seafood lover? Take a trip to this longtime Belltown favorite, with “edmoae”-style sushi cured + treated for max flavor.
Cafe Flora — Those eating meat-free will no doubt find something satisfying at this Madison Park restaurant, for dinner or brunch. Those biscuits with a hearty mushroom gravy could be calling dad’s name.

Gift something local 🎁

Yukon Salon — For the nerdy, gamer dad, try out this card game from a local creator in which players create hairstyles for bears + lumberjacks. Indie shops like Gamma Ray Games on Capitol Hill carry it.
Lady Jaye’s butcher box — Not sure there’s much more that screams dads than a box of meat delivered to their door on a monthly basis. West Seattle’s smokehouse has the goods, with locally sourced products.
Mini espresso maker — This neat, camping gizmo from Washington company GSI should fit the bill for any half-Frasier/half-Paul Bunyan.
