When it comes to birthday parties, there's just no good reason why kids should have all of the fun.

Birthday dinners and cocktails could get the job done, but we're adults — who's going to say "no" if we want to spend our birthday smashing stuff or taking some wheels to the rink? Nobody, that's who.

Don't skimp on the pinatas and goodie bags this year (or ever again). Life just gets harder, so why not celebrate a little harder, too?

Here are a few adult birthday party ideas that will delight your inner child:

Rage Industry | $33-$38/person
Nothing says "happy birthday" like releasing your inner demons on some unsuspecting glassware and (unplugged) electrical appliances. If anything, it just helps get the stress out so you can spend the rest of your day in peace.

Southgate Roller Rink | $372 for 15 people
Go all out with bell bottoms, glitter, and your grooviest vibes — then chow down on four pizzas, ice cream, and a selection of Jones soda. There's also a bar if you want to add some boozin' to your cruisin' — just be careful on those skates.

Top Golf | Inquire for pricing
Nosh on a chef-curated menu before slamming some golf balls into the abyss. Make a rule that no one else can score better than you because it's your birthday — you're not self-centered, it's called setting boundaries.

Woodland Park Zoo | $850 for 20 people
If you really want to invest in your childlike wonder, these party packages come with carousel rides, zoo admission for 20 people, and a private celebration space. Plus, there are add-on options for animal encounters, face painting, caricatures, and unlimited carousel rides.

Electric Boat Company | Prices start at $99/hour
Bring your friends for a lake cruise with a charcuterie board and wine — the boats are heated for when it's cold + you have water access for when it's warm.

Ballard Kayak | Inquire for pricing
Get a catered meal + play beach games before you embark on a tour of the Puget Sound coastline.
