Alright, Seattle. This is your official heads-up — if you haven't been paying much attention to the Seahawks' season, get your head in the game for the most intense, sweaty palms-inducing action coming soon.

On Sunday night, our hometown heroes clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs. This means we're officially on the path towards the Super Bowl. 🎉

Of course, there's more to the story — so hold your confetti cannons and let's talk about how this might play out.

The climb to victory

There are three rounds of playoffs until we get to the big game on Sunday, Feb. 12. The Seahawks have to win every contest to get where we want to be (which is posing with a trophy + headed to Disney World).

Our Wild Card Round game is against the San Francisco 49ers (our nemesis — how fitting) on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in San Fran.

If we win that, next up would be the No. 1 NFC seed the Philadelphia Eagles (cue Darth Vader's theme music — it'll be a tough game). Then it would be onto the NFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 29 before the Super Bowl.

The hot gossip

Alright, yeah, yeah — the chances for a victory are pretty slim (we have one of the three longest betting odds as of this article's publishing) , but here's why we should be proud regardless of any outcome from here on out.

Many experts thought that the Seahawks would only win five games this season, but we've won nine.
A lot of us were nervous about how quarterback Russell Wilson's departure from the team would affect us, and how his next-in-line Geno Smith would perform — but Smith has been great from the start. (Plus Wilson's current team, the Broncos, did not make it to the playoffs, so there's a bit of sweet justice.)

So, if we do manage to pull this off, the parties will be likely pretty intense.

Where to watch

Unless you have plane tickets to the Bay Area, we'll all be watching this at home or in a sports bar. The game will be airing on FOX on Saturday at 1:35 p.m.— but you can also check out these spots if you want a little emotional support.

Rough and Tumble | Ballard | Seattle's first women's sports bar is all about hometown pride.
The Westy | Roosevelt + West Seattle locations | A sports bar, but make it fancy — this spot also has more than 120 whiskeys to sample.
Belltown Pizza | Belltown | If Buckley's gets too crowded for you, this is a great nearby alternative with deals on buckets of beer.
