If you’re looking for a full ‘fit, Carytown is a veritable vintage hotspot.

Bygones Vintage has new reproductions for decades of styles in person + online.
Buffalo Exchange is a used clothing store featuring seasonal favorites and funky outfits on a budget.
Premiere Costumes has makeup, wigs, accessories, and costumes for all ages. You can even get a face mask to match your look.

Some costume ideas for these stores could be decade-centric from 1930s-2000s, or classic costumes like a ghost, skeleton, or witch.

If you’re looking to DIY, stop by these craft stores for some inspiration.

SCRAP RVA is a creative reuse nonprofit on Brookland Park Blvd. which takes donations of fabrics, art supplies jewelry, and even home decor for others to reuse safely.
Couture by LK Design is home to about a dozen styles of high-end fabric on the Libbie Ave.

We think you could try out a costume that's Renaissance chic, like princesses, knights + wizards.
