The Richmond-Henrico Health District is launching more PCR testing and vaccination clinics across the city due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the area.

It’s also handing out 3,600 at-home rapid tests at some upcoming events this week.

Pro tip: All of the following events take walk-ins and have a variety of vaccine + booster options (including Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson). If you can, register in advance for a quicker process.

Most of these events have Pfizer + Johnson & Johnson vaccine options, a few have Moderna.

Where else can you get COVID tests/vaccinations?

Many local grocery + pharmacy chains have COVID-19 vaccination appointments available. You can enter your zip code into vaccine.gov to find times at your local Kroger, Publix, CVS, Rite Aid, or Walgreens.

Those stores + pharmacies also have BinaxNOW testing kits — prices range from around $15-$25 — which show results in about 15 minutes. There may be a limit on how many you can purchase due to demand for tests.

If you’d like to keep updated on local upcoming testing + vaccination events, check out the Richmond-Henrico Health District’s website.
