Reader Janel G. reached out to us as a manager of a small team, requesting a roundup of corporate-friendly activities for a workday excursion. We came up with six ideas to get out of the office and explore Richmond.

Topgolf, 2308 Westwood Ave.
Take the team for some fun on the climate-controlled driving range. It opens at 10 a.m. each weekday. Have a larger group? See about event packages.

Hotel Greene, 508 E. Franklin St.
This self-described highfalutin' mini golf course opens at 2 p.m. on Thursdays. Stop by with your small team or schedule a corporate outing for groups of over 16 people.

PlantHouse Richmond, 2100 Cary St. Unit 101
This plant store offers walk-in DIY terrarium building, and you can reserve space in advance — a table seats six. Pro tip: The shop is moving to a new location in Scott's Addition at the end of June.

The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, 2501 Monument Ave.
The galleries are open to explore Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with $5 suggested admission. Plus, bring or order lunch to enjoy in the garden.

Riverfront Canal Cruises, 139 Virginia St.
These 40-minute trips into Richmond's history along the canal make for an ideal office excursion. Book in advance or walk up to the Canal's Turning Basin kiosk; boats can accommodate 28 passengers.

RVATukTuk Tours
Embark with your team to see the city from an electric, open-air vehicle that seats six. Choose a daytime tour with offerings like the mural tour, bakeries tour, or scavenger hunt.

Keep Virginia Cozy
Help clean our community and get out in nature by signing up for a corporate cleanup. Pro tip: They typically host two per month on Tuesdays, so this activity would require some more advance planning. Send an email to inquire.

Alyse T. suggested bringing the team together by volunteering to fight hunger in our community. Claim weekday sessions at the Bayard Community Kitchen if you have a smaller number of people, or check out group opportunities.

RVA on Wheels
Angie C. said this tour company can suit any size team, calling it "the most fun while rolling around the River City." The company will customize tours for corporate outings, whether you're looking to explore Richmond by segway, trolley, or electric bike.

Rage RVA, 2403 W. Main St.
Sarah B. had the idea to blow off steam by smashing some stuff (safely) at Rage RVA. It offers a Group Smash session as a team building activity for groups of up to 10.

The Park, 1407 Cummings Dr.
Michelle H. recommended The Park for its multiple activity offerings, including karaoke, duck pin bowling, and mini golf. They also have space to host a private event, if you have a larger group.
