Are you a fan of the desert landscapes? Then this exhibit is for you.

“Unobstructed Horizons” opens Friday, June 7 at the Agarita Loft. Viewers will experience sun, sky, and desert landscapes transformed into paintings, photography, and sculpture work. Curated by the Head of Development at the McNay, Katy Silva León, each piece in the exhibition is a tribute to the desert's ability to inspire, reflect, and reveal notions about ourselves + our relationship with the natural world.

The show also challenges guests to not think of a desert as a barren wasteland, but to witness the strength and resilience of the beautiful landscape.

Here are the three artists featured in the exhibit:

Charlie Kitchen (photographer)
Hailey Marmolejo (painter)
Dani Becknell (sculptor)

Ready to visit? Stop by the “Unobstructed Horizons” opening reception during the First Friday Art Walk on June 7, from 6 to 9:00 p.m. The event will also feature brief musical performances by Agarita members from 7 to 8 p.m.
