The Lone Star State just earned a few more stars — 15 to be exact. Michelin and Travel Texas teamed up to launch the first Michelin Guide Texas, and the inaugural stars were awarded in Houston earlier this week.

Plenty of San Antonio eateries received a Bib Gourmand Award for offering a high-quality meal at a reasonable price. Here are our winners:

Cullum's Attaboy
The Jerk Shack
Ladino
Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery

Seven Alamo City restaurants were given Michelin recommendations — not quite a star, but a nod to culinary excellence:

2M Smokehouse
Barbecue Station
Garcia's Mexican Food
Leche de Tigre
Little Em’s Oyster Bar
Nicosi
Signature Restaurant

Finally, the main course. One San Antonio restaurant made history by receiving the city's first MICHELIN Star and special award. Give a huge round of applause for Mixtli. This innovative Mexican eatery now has one MICHELIN Star to its name and was given the Michelin Service Award.

The stars last until the next guide is announced. Keep an eye on ATXtoday and FTWXtoday for other foodie announcements further north.

While not officially recognized by Michelin, our readers gave their own predictions as to who would earn San Antonio's first Michelin Star. Eat your way through the list.
