This week, the Alamo Colleges District announced its AlamoU Bachelor’s Programs is now available across all five colleges: San Antonio College, Palo Alto College, St. Philip’s College, Northwest Vista College, and Northeast Lakeview College.

So, what is this program? The AlamoU Bachelor’s Programs gives students who attend these community colleges (traditionally two years) the opportunity to receive four year degrees. This change is in response to the high demands of various industries like nursing, operations management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.

"By offering bachelor degrees, we aim to empower our students to thrive in competitive job markets and make meaningful contributions to their respective fields." said Dr. Mike Flores, Alamo Colleges District Chancellor.

Degree plans include:

San Antonio College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Palo Alto College’s Bachelor of Applied Technology
St. Philip’s College’s Bachelor of Applied Technology Degree in Cybersecurity
Northwest Vista College’s Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing
Northeast Lakeview College is currently, developing a fifth bachelor's degree program
