Stephen Fleming, New Zealand cricket legend and head coach in Chennai and Johannesburg, South Africa, will lead the team.

So far, nine domestic cricketers have been drafted and two more international players are needed to fill out the roster for the Twenty20 league.

The Super Kings will compete against five other MLC teams — Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Seattle (hey, SEAtoday) — in a short season running from Thursday, July 13 to Sunday, July 30. All 19 games and some of the 2024 World Cup will be hosted in the Grand Prairie stadium.
