Get ready for an Austin invasion, because SXSW is expanding to London in 2025.

In its second festival abroad — SXSW also has a Sydney edition that launched in 2023 — the Austin-based tech, pop culture, and music event will go across the pond in east London's Shoreditch neighborhood for a week in June 2025.

SXSW promises to bring a little London flair to this new expansion, celebrating its reputation for youth culture, diversity, nightlife, and creativity. As the first European hub of SXSW, the festival will emphasize speakers and talent from across the continent.

Programming will start to be announced in the coming months and badges will go on sale this October.

Don't worry about the original, local festival though, SXSW is still scheduled in Austin for March 7-15, 2025.
