School is back in session and even if you're not a student, we want you to get back in the classroom.

Maybe you'd like to learn a new language, cook more, live more sustainably, or spend more time with your family. There are dozens of classes all over Austin to help you reach your goals — here are a few of our favorites.

Learn a new skill

Austin Spanish Academy | Bolster your language abilities at these virtual courses — classes are available for all ages and skill levels, and take place weekly. (Psst — check out these nine other ways to learn a new language in ATX.)
Precision Camera | Learn how to use manual settings on a DSLR, pick up Photoshop, or even hone your iPhone photography skills.
Shop Slow | Stop getting rid of your clothes at the first sign of wear — learn how to mend your items and add in extra personality. Classes are posted on Instagram.

Cook more

Central Market Cooking School | Cook up some confidence in the kitchen. Upcoming classes will teach you how to make souffles, Asian dumplings, and French macarons.
CocuSocial Cooking Classes | Make French macarons, pasta, dumplings, ravioli, pastries, and more with hands-on guidance from the professionals.
Let's Eat: Austin | You know what they say — anyone can cook. Try your hand at making fresh egg pasta, sushi, vegan ramen, seafood paella, and more in a BYOB setting.

Become one with nature

Keep Austin Beautiful | Okay, KAB’s volunteer events aren’t exactly classes, but hear us out: they are ways for you to get outside and beautify your community, whether through picking up trash or clearing trails.
The Natural Gardener | Sit in on a free class covering vegetable gardening, seed starting, or houseplant care.
Maverick Horseback Riding | Book a lesson for you or your children if you’re brand new to horseback riding, or jump right in on a ranch ride if you’re already comfortable in the saddle.
