We were sweating, and no, it's not because warmer temps are rolling in.

Nashville just barely made it in the top 50 of WalletHub's recent "Best Summer Travel Destinations" study. We understand there was a methodology, but here's why we think it should rank ahead of competitors like Tampa, Austin, and Richmond (sorry, TBAYtoday, ATXtoday + RICtoday).

Travel costs and hassles | We can't cut costs or flight times in half, but we can make your travel day a little easier with our guide to the Nashville International Airport. Bonus: Here are six products we think will make the flight more comfortable.

Attractions | We'll let our 17 museums, 45 kid-friendly hangs, and 26+ music venues do the talking.

Activities | Of the 25 items listed under this category, we think these 40 summer events cover our bases. We'll add in 18 golf courses and 20 parks for good measure.

Local costs | Here's where to bite into lunch for ~$10 or less.
