Johnny Cash would have celebrated his 91st birthday this weekend (Sunday, Feb. 26), and you don't need to "Walk the Line" or dance around "The Ring of Fire" to honor the country music legend. Here are some local ways to commemorate his legacy.

Shop

Wear black to a Made in TN store on Sunday, Feb. 26 to receive 26% off Johnny Cash-themed gifts by Tennessee makers. Bonus: Purchase Johnny's Music City Gift Set for your June — which includes themed soap, a candle, kitchen towel, cornbread mix, and mints.

Sports

Sport your new Johnny Cash, all-black jersey to Nashville SC's first match of the season at GEODIS Park on Saturday, Feb. 25 — purchase tickets for "The Man in Black Match."

Try This

Use Nashville SC's Apple Maps guide to visit places of sentimental value to Cash — like Ryman Auditorium (where Johnny met June) and The Johnny Cash Museum. Bonus: Map descriptions are direct quotes from Cash's son John Carter Cash.

Listen

Play our NASHtoday Cash-inspired playlist while driving down Hendersonville's Johnny Cash Parkway.
Pro tip: Apple Music users can enjoy two exclusive releases on Nashville SC's playlist — a version of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down" by Bailey Zimmerman and a classic take on "Man in Black" by Carin León.
