Greenville, SC is known for many things: It’s a booming hub for entrepreneurs and a great place to work remotely with a diverse culinary scene + plenty of green space for people to get out and enjoy nature. Here are a few more reasons you’ll want to consider planning a getaway to SC:

It’s close by… when you fly.

Skip the road trip and head to the airport. Starting Wed., Nov. 17, Nashvillians will be able to get to Greenville in ~1 hour. Contour Airlines, a regional airline based in Smyrna, TN, will begin servicing 5 weekly nonstop flights (aka the only nonstop service from the Music City to “Yeah, that Greenville”). Since flights don’t start for a couple of weeks, there’s plenty of time to plan a trip. Book a flight here.

Outdoor activities

Hiking, biking, kayaking, ziplining + more. Nature lovers have their pick of how to get out and enjoy some fresh air. Pro tip: Visit Greenville’s outdoor activity guide outlines the best activities for each season. We suggest taking a stroll along the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail and spending some time with a book, or better yet, enjoying a picnic in Falls Park on the Reedy.

Booming food and bev scene

With 800+ restaurants, 20+ breweries, bars + eateries in Greenville County, there’s something delicious for everyone. It’s no wonder this Southern city has garnered national attention and racked up accolades, like being named one of “The South’s Most Tasteful Towns” by Forbes.

Pro tip: Make reservations before you get into town. Some popular spots are reservation only, which means if you don’t plan ahead, you’ll miss out on some incredible bites + sips.
