Hi guys, intern Brianna here. Although I’m still here in Chattanooga, I know that a lot of students like me are back home with their parents, which means more cooking, more cleaning, and less room for moms everywhere right now.

In other words, Mother’s Day came at just the right time to celebrate everything they’re doing + have done for us, so I’ve created a guide of local gifts that every motherly figure in your life will love. Keep reading to check it out.

Gifts for every mom

For the mom who loves to stop and smell the roses

Make sure to act fast before the flower stand sells out. | @blumenwagen

If you’re looking for a way to brighten her day (and home!) flowers are always a great place to start. Check out Blumenwagen, where you can order a flower delivery for the social distancing mom, or get a flower care box to show her how much you appreciate her.. If you preorder you can also purchase a card designed by local artist Taylor Kinser to be delivered with your flowers. 🌹

For the mom who’s always down to try something new

Your mom could be the next Picasso, she just needs a class to get her started. | TheChattery

Give the mom in your life the gift of learning something new with a virtual class from The Chattery. Whether it be watercolor sketching, mocktails 101, or home organizing 101, there are plenty of classes offered online that are sure to pique her interest.

For the mom who needs a strong drink right about now

Maybe grab a few cans for yourself, too, so she can have a drinking buddy. | @oddstorybrewingco

If your mom could use something to take the edge off (after all, we can be a bit of a handful sometimes), Chattanooga Whiskey or Oddstory Brewing Co. could provide just what you’re looking for. Try gifting some of Chattanooga Whiskey’s award-winning bourbon, like the Tennessee High Malt, or one of the drinks from their Experimental Series. You could also give one of Oddstory’s unique beer flavors, like their peach cobbler sour ale.

For the mom who needs a strong, ~nonalcoholic~ drink

Mom’s new favorite mug, gifted by you. | LocalsOnly

For some moms, a “strong drink” means something that’s taken in the morning and keeps them going throughout the day. If you have a busy, coffee-loving mom, try gifting a bag from her favorite roaster, like Mad Priest or Mean Mug, paired with a cute Chattanooga mug from Locals Only.

For the mom who never buys something from the mall

Check out this adorable keepsake interview book. | @blueskieschatt

Blue Skies is the perfect place to find that unique gift for the mom who’s hard to shop for. You can let your gift speak for itself with a pair of these Awesome Mom socks, or make the message more subtle with statement jewelry or an interesting piece of wall art.
