Recently, Chattanooga’s Humane Educational Society (HES) rescued 56 dogs from an abandoned property in nearby Ootlewah. After some love and care from the HES staff, these pups are ready for their next steps to go to their forever homes.

“We can’t wait to get these cuties into loving homes they deserve, they are so incredibly sweet, we’ve fallen completely in love with them,” said Rebecca Bryan, HES executive director.

Today, we’re sharing 10 of these adoptable pets. Note: All of the pups have received up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neutering, and microchips + have been given dewormers, flea, and tick medication.

When it comes to special case adoptions, HES often receives a large quantity of adoption applications. You can submit an application online, but make sure to be patient as their staff is limited.

Not able to adopt at this time? Another way you can help HES is through monetary donations. The shelter was already at capacity before the rescue, and your donation will help go towards the costs of food and vet care.
