National Pizza Day is today, Feb. 9 — and it might just take the place of one of our favorite holidays, ever.

On this day, the yeast we could do is share a few of our favorite local pizza spots in town. Grab a slice (or a large, GBOGH) and cheese the day.

🍕 By the slice options

Goodfellas Pizzeria, 1208 King St. | New York style pizza | Grab your pizza and head downstairs to Wiseguy Lounge for a drink.

Community Pie, 850 Market St. | New York, Detroit + Neopolitan pizza | Grab pizza and gelato from Milk & Honey at this local spot.

Pizza Bros., various locations | New York style pizza | We recommend an order of "Cinnaboiz" to go along with your pizza.

🍕 Personal pizzas

Fiamma Pizza Co., 405 N. Market St. | Neopolitan + Sicilian pizza | We recommend the margherita pizza (learn the history behind the name).

Wooden City Chattanooga, 203 Broad St. | Wood-fired pizza | This spot has several pizzas to choose from, including a tasty vegan option.

Pizzeria Cortile, 4400 Dayton Blvd. | Wood-fired pizza | Bonus: you can catch Pizzeria Cortile's food truck at The Book & Cover on Friday + Saturday.

Honey Seed, 1705 Market St. | Wood-fired pizza | Note: the pizza is available for purchase after 4 p.m.

🍕 Go big or go home

Southside Pizza, 612 E. Main St. | New York style pizza | Sit outside on the patio (if it's not too cold) and make sure to take a picture with the giant pizza mural.

Chattanooga Pizza Co. (Formerly Home Slice Pizza), 2000 E. 23rd St. | Specialty pizza | Don't sleep on the garlic knots — Editor Kristen could eat an entire order by herself. Bonus: this spot is also known for its extensive vegan menu.

Slim & Husky's, 401 E. MLK Blvd. | Artisan pizza | Feeding multiple people? The Big Poppa Pizza size feeds up to four people comfortably.
