Howdy readers, Editor Kristen here. If you’re like me and you’ve found yourself scrolling online, you may have seen videos of halo water therapy come across your feeds.

That's why I was so excited to see that newly-opened HEADSPA’ce head spa in St. Elmo offered these services, and so much more.

Brought to you by Brittni + Waylon Krumrie, the owners of permanent makeup studio Highbrow Chattanooga, HEADSPA’ce is their latest venture at 3800 St. Elmo Ave.

If you haven’t heard of a head spa before, these spaces offer “intimate + serene head massages that effectively promote the health of your scalp and hair.” They also can help relieve stress from your day-to-day and promote deep sleep. Bonus: Read more about the potential benefits.

Editor Haley + I recently stopped by to check out the space and try out some of their services, and spoiler alert — if you are in need of some major relaxation time, this is the place for you.

HEADSPA’ce offers a variety of services that range from clarifying head treatments and massages to full-hour pamper sessions.

Each service includes halo water therapy, a head and neck massage that’s curated to your needs, a dermatoscope scalp analysis + essential oil therapy. To help curate the experience, intake forms also take you through identifying your hair type, if you’re experiencing hair loss or thinning, etc.

We tried the “All of it then some!” package which includes a luxury scalp massage, facial, cleansing, treatment, and moisturizing.

Another thing we loved about our experience was the up-close scalp analysis prior to and following your spa service. I never thought I’d see my scalp that up close and personal, but the before + after was wild to see. Bonus: Relax with a complimentary beverage before and after the treatment.

Editor Kristen loved the ultrasonic exfoliation, which uses a high-frequency stimulation comb to decrease oil production + promote hair growth. You also can't go wrong with a good head massage, there were several points I was so relaxed I could have easily fallen asleep.

Editor Haley checking in. I personally have never experienced a professional facial before, and let me tell you, I could sit with the cooled-gel masks on my face all day. I also think I put the ah in spa when getting my hair shampooed + conditioned (and peppermint oil to open up the hair follicles) — all hair products are from the French line Rene Furterer.
