Have y’all ever heard of Skyuka Hall?

Morning, lovely Chattanooga. Chloé here, and I’ve got some pretty cool news about a unique, local school that’s celebrating its first-ever graduating class.

📚 Hold up. What school are we talking about?

Skyuka Hall. It’s a local private school that was founded in 2014 to provide individualized learning for students who have struggled in traditional environments.
The school serves students who have been diagnosed with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

📚 Cool. So, what’s the news about the school?

Well, it just celebrated its first graduating class, which had seven people in it. And all of the graduates are on their way to college. Congrats, y’all! 🎉

Quoteworthy

"I am in awe of our seniors who will soon change the world. In the midst of a pandemic that changed the trajectory of their senior year, our graduating class has shown us grit, resilience and heart.” – Head of School Dr. Josh Yother

📚 Interesting. Tell me more.

115 students are enrolled for the 2020-2021 school year.
Seven students graduated this year + there will be 18 graduates of the class of 2021.
The school has seven administrators and 19 teachers.
Class sizes are small to allow for a focus on each student’s academic + social learning goals.
The school’s mission is to allow everyone to “emerge from the traditional mold of education and instead, prosper in an environment of love, support, and enthusiasm for lifetime learning.”
The school is offering both virtual + in-person classes this year because of COVID-19.
Skyuka Hall is currently accepting applications for the 2020-2021 academic year. A waitlist is available for grades at capacity.
