November was a fun month here at NOOGAtoday — we looked at some weird, old photos of Chattanooga, learned what you thought about tipping (it’s actually kind of complicated) + tried out those fancy new scooters everybody is talking about.

I’ll take a little pat on the back for an article I wrote in 2015 that still snags readers three years later. Sure, I had to get naked (shoes were allowed) but I think it was worth it at the end of the day. People recognize me all the time as that guy who went skinny-dipping much to my wife’s dismay.

We know you’ve been busy eating turkey and/or preparing for the holiday season, so today we’re revisiting our top five stories last month.

And as always, if you like what you read, share it with a friend. Because sharing is caring.

Top 5 stories of November:

Tipping 101: How and when to tip. Tipping can be complicated. We put together a guide to simplify the process. The majority of our readers agreed that 20% is an appropriate minimum for sit-down food service.

Lime working to roll out electric scooters. You’ve probably seen or heard about them in other cities, and now dockless electric scooters are rolling out in Chattanooga. 🛴

Date Night Dining: Best meals of 2018. We recapped a year of delicious eatin’ in Chattanooga with our best meals of the year.

8 regional mountain ski resorts. You might not use “Chattanooga” and “ski resorts” in the same sentence, but several of the South’s best resorts are just a few hours away.

If you’ve just joined team NOOGAtoday, we’re so happy you’re here. And for our long-time fans, thanks for continuing to kick off your days with us.

We’re really excited about everything happening this December, like this weekend’s Muse of Fire performances, The Nooga Nutcracker on Dec. 15 + skating at Ice on the Landing throughout the month.
